Description

The BC Salmon Farmers Association's summit - Seafood West - will be held in conjunction with the 2017 Annual General Meeting on October 10th & 11th in Victoria.

As the preeminent event for aquaculture in B.C., Seafood West is structured for - and attended by - senior representatives from the industry, government representatives (local, provincial, and federal), First Nation partners, academics active in aquaculture related research, and community leaders.


BCSFA Annual General Meeting
Date & Time: October 10 / 1:00-3:00pm
Location: Hotel Grand Pacific, Victoria

Open to all BCSFA members, the 33rd Annual General Meeting will review the past year, and look forward towards 2018. Led by the BCSFA Executive team, the AGM will include the Auditor's Financial Report, Association By-Law's review and the election of BCSFA Directors.

Seafood West Welcome Reception
Date & Time: October 10 / 5:30-9:30pm
Location: The Guild Freehouse, Victoria

The Seafood West Reception – taking place the evening of October 10th – will include extended invitations to government representatives and will replace BCSFA’s annual Government reception that has been held in Victoria the last couple of years.

Seafood West Summit
Date & Time: October 11 / 8:00am-3:00pm
Location: Hotel Grand Pacific, Victoria

This year’s program features renowned speakers that reinforce key themes, including product demand/quality, exports, global competitiveness, new technology, and environmental performance. The emphasis will be on the sophistication of the industry and its bright future – globally.
