About this Event

_UPDATE:_______________________________________________

It has come to our attention that our event, the 2nd Annual

Art+Memory+Justice Symsposium conflicts with the upcoming the Global Climate Strike, on September the 27th.

The Climate Hub at UBC is organizing a student strike and encouraging staff and students to take part through direct action in the form of a university walkout. Many departments across UBC are cancelling class, closing buildings and sending staff home in support of the Global Climate Strike.

In solidarity and support we are postponing our event. We have resolved to take a stance, support the striking youths and stand in solidarity with Indigenous people and millions of other folks across the globe, who will be striking on September the 27th in the Global Climate Strike.

We encourage all those who planned to attend, witness, or perform, to join us instead at Vancouver City Hall, starting at 1 pm on September 27th.

We hope to see you there and will reach out with a new symposium date shortly.

In solidarity,

The AMJ team.
