Event Details

Cedar Cottage Food Network and Vancouver Public Library - Kensington are pleased to present the second workshop in our 2015 Seedy Saturday series. Thanks to the generous support of Decoda Literacy and Raise-a-Reader, we are able to offer free gardening workshops for the community throughout the season.

This workshop will detail the best ways to care for your garden, including tips for watering, harvesting, and natural remedies for pest problems. It will also include a discussion of when to start saving seeds from your garden. Saving seeds is an important way to protect the biodiversity of our food production. It's also essential to operating a successful seed sharing library!

The event is free but seats are limited. Please pre-register. Snacks will be provided and the seed library will be open so participants can share what they have or take what they need.
