SELF-CARE and SELF-COMPASSION WORKSHOP
with facilitator Caer Weber
Although it may seem obvious to some, many of us do not really know what good self-care is. Instead of thinking about how we can practice good self-care, we may have gotten used to neglecting our own needs or even beating ourselves up about all of our perceived imperfections. In this workshop, we will look at self-care more thoroughly, and discuss what it means to each of us. The main focus will be on the relationship that we have with ourselves and how we can learn to accept ourselves as we are in the moment. We will also engage in a guided discussion on self-compassion and learn a model for being our own best friend.
Please Note: This workshop is suitable for people with mild to moderate mental health concerns who are interested in learning about self-care and self-compassion in an interactive group environment. It is NOT intended to give a medical diagnosis, medical treatment, or counselling/therapy.
