Event description
As counsellors, you may be experiencing compassion fatigue or secondary traumatic stress. Learn more about self-care strategies.

About this Event

Credit counsellors see clients when they are under financial stress. With effects of the novel coronavirus outbreak you may be seeing a higher number of clients, or clients with more severe problems than the clients that you saw even a few months ago. This can lead to credit counsellors taking on undue stress themselves, sometimes resulting in compassion fatigue or secondary traumatic stress. Join CCC in this engaging and informative webinar to learn about:

• The situations that cause compassion fatigue and secondary traumatic stress in helping professionals

• How to recognize if you are experiencing these conditions

• The steps that you can follow to take care of yourself while you are serving others

Credit Counselling Canada is delighted to offer this special webinar from Kimberly Zimmerman Rand who presented our very popular "Introduction to Motivational Interviewing" last December. Kimberly's follow-up to Motivational Interviewing will be continued in September 2020.

This webinar will be eligible for a CEU.

The Global Meet bridge details will be emailed directly to you on May 26th 2020.
