About this Event

Self-care isn’t just about eating right, exercising, and getting enough sleep. While important, these elements only scratch the surface of an intentional and successful wellness plan. Maintaining physical, mental, and emotional health is vital for everyone, but it can be particularly important for those working in helping professions like social work, outreach services, and counseling.

This workshop focuses on mindfulness as a core foundation of building an intentional self-care plan and looks at ways to practically implement self-care into your everyday routine. This workshop also briefly explores burnout and compassion fatigue as it relates to helping professionals.

Please note that virtual workshops are offered using the Zoom platform. Participants must have access to the technology needed to participate. There are options to call in, as well as video participation. Links to attend the workshop will be sent out 24 hours prior to the workshop start time. You are encouraged to check out the platform prior to the workshop and become familiar with the layout. This will help to support a smooth login process on the workshop date.
