Self-Guided Nature Walk Mar. 19th
Date and time
Nature Reserve open for use by appointment.
About this event
The Oak Ridges Moraine Land Trust (ORMLT) is opening our private nature reserve to members of the public this winter season*!
At ORMLT, we’ve noticed that the use of local walking trails is getting more popular which is great for getting to know nature! However, our more hesitant neighbours don’t get the chance to enjoy nature when trails are crowded.
This is why every other Friday from 12-3pm, we will open up our private nature reserve to a limited number of users at no cost. Register** yourself or your household for free and enjoy nature with the safety of your own allocated walk time. Each arrival time will be given to only one person or household to give everyone the chance to have a quiet walk without overcrowding. Please reserve a Waitlist Ticket if your preferred date is unavailable and we will let you know if a spot opens up.
Walk Description:
• A 2.5km self-guided nature walk on our trail,
• You get an exclusive look at a beautiful private nature reserve,
• The wide, flat path is more suitable for seniors and older adults (contact us about the trail’s accessibility),
• Walking poles and ice grips for your boots will be made available for free rental,
• Limited to no-contact with others using the trail.
• Please note, we do not allow dogs on our nature reserves.
*This is not an organized event, we are only tracking registration to avoid overcrowding.
**You will receive a confirmation from Eventbrite as well as another one from outreach@oakridgesmoraine.org with more information.
