About this event
The Life Sciences Innovation Hub welcomes Dr. Rafi Hofstein, CEO, Toronto Innovation Acceleration Partners – TIAP (formerly MaRS Innovation) as he discusses how the classical paradigm of tech transfer in the medical arena, namely licensing of intellectual property resulting from medical research, is no longer sustainable. Dr. Hofstein will share how TIAP has adopted an alternative concept for bridging over the infamous “valley of death” by discussing the main features of the novel tech transfer paradigm while analyzing several contemporary examples.
