We invite you to join us for our workshop - Sending Canadians volunteers abroad: Lessons Learned and Best Practices regarding Security and Prevention from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA). The workshop will take place on Thursday Oct. 3 from 1 pm to 4.30 pm. The workshop will be facilitated by BCCIC and Global Affairs Canada at the BCCIC offices in the Sun Wah building in Chinatown, 268 Keefer Street in Unit 311 on the third floor. During this event we will explore how to mobilize citizens from BC within the new security and PSEA contexts, lessons learned from organizations who send Canadians abroad and the intricacies of sending young Canadians abroad. There will also be an opportunity to work in sub-groups in a participatory format. This event will be followed by a networking event open to the general public from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Nous vous invitons à vous joindre à nous pour notre atelier - Déployer des volontaires canadiens à l'étranger : Leçons apprises et meilleures pratiques sur la sécurité et la prévention de l'exploitation et des abus sexuels (PEAS). L'atelier aura lieu le jeudi 3 octobre de 13 h à 16 h 30. L'atelier sera animé par le BCCIC et Affaires mondiales Canada aux bureaux de BCCIC dans l'immeuble Sun Wah à Chinatown, 268, rue Keefer, unité 311, au troisième étage. Au cours de cet événement, nous examinerons comment mobiliser les citoyens de la Colombie-Britannique dans les nouveaux contextes de la sécurité et de la PEAS, les leçons tirées des organisations qui envoient des Canadiens à l'étranger et les subtilités d'envoyer de jeunes Canadiens à l'étranger. Les participants auront également l’occasion de travailler en sous-groupes. Cet atelier sera suivi d'un événement de réseautage ouvert au grand public de 17h à 19h.
