Description
Seniors’ Mental Health is a 2-day evidence based, interactive curriculum. It is open to all healthcare providers who support seniors.
Course Objectives:
The focus is on increasing learners' knowledge of mental health and provides care strategies related to dementia, delirium, anxiety, depression, psychotic disorders and personality disorders. This course is recommended for but not limited to the following healthcare providers: Nurses, Personal Support Workers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Recreational Therapists and other direct care providers.
INCLUDED: workshop materials and light refreshments @ breaks. Please note, lunch is not provided.
LOCATION: Banquet Hall, St. Paul's United Church
HOURS: 08:30 to 16:30 Course will begin promptly @ 8:30 AM
PARKING: municipal parking lot within walking distance
Day 3 Seniors Mental Health is for regulated staff and requires a separate registration.
