Upon completion participants will leave better prepared to confidently convey mental health symptoms and concerns to other health care providers.
PREREQUISITES:
1. Must be a regulated healthcare professional.
2. Successful completion of Seniors Mental Health – Days 1 & 2.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
1. Introduction and application of a brief modified mental status exam.
2. Review and practical application of screening tools for delirium, depression, alcohol use and cognition in seniors.
3. Introduction and review of the North Simcoe Muskoka Specialized Geriatric Services Antipsychotic Tool Kit.
INCLUDED: workshop materials will be mailed to your address the week before the start of the course.
RESOURCES REQUIRED: course will be presented via zoom; a camera and microphone on your device is required.
