The Region of Waterloo will pilot a network of separated bike lanes to gain a better understanding of how they influence existing and future cyclist behaviour. We also want to determine appropriate methods of construction and maintenance of similar projects.
Please attend our Public Consultation Centre to learn and comment about:
What are separated bike lanes
Where we are proposing to implement the network
What specific roads the network could use
How to separate bikes from cars and trucks
Registration is free and you do not have to register to attend the Public Consultation Centre.
If you are unable to attend this Event, we are also hosting on December 14 at Waterloo Public Library https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/separated-bike-lane-pilot-project-public-consultation-centre-tickets-40905548597?aff=es2
The Transportation and Environmental Services Department provides the physical services and infrastructure necessary to support the Region’s economic prosperity and quality of life. Key issues include: maintaining and replacing aging infrastructure; ensuring adequate infrastructure is available to support growth; and ongoing expansion of the transit system.
