Separation Support Group for Women (10 weeks - Online)
Event Information
About this Event
The North Shore Women's Centre is hosting an 10-week online support group to help women who are in the process of ending a marriage or common law relationship or are considering separation. The group will be facilitated by an experienced counsellor. Over the course of the group meetings, we will have guest speakers including a financial planner and family lawyer to cover pertinent financial and family law information.
This will be a closed group [no drop-ins] and the members will benefit the most with a commitment to the full 10 weeks.
The group will be meeting online once a week (Wednesdays) starting February 17th, 2021 between 6:30-8:30pm. Please note that your registration here is your registration for all 10 sessions.
All programs and services at the NSWC are open to women and gender diverse individuals, including those who identify as trans, Two-Spirit, and/or non-binary.
Priority is given to women living on the North Shore.
Please note that much of our material and resources will cover family law and financial matters that are relevant to North Shore Women; as such this group may not be as helpful to women living outside of British Columbia where some family and tax laws may differ.
Important:
This group will be meeting online. Participants will need to have access to a computer and access to the internet. A smartphone may work but participation will be hindered since a small screen might not display all participants at same time and material shared online might be difficult to review.
