Coding Level 1 (CC101) - Introduction to Coding

How to Sign-up and Course Details

Overview

CC101 comprises four 1.5 hour classes over four weekends. CC101 focuses on Mathematics and  programming concepts: computational thinking, algebra, pattern recognition, debugging, sequence, If-loop and variables.

Programming Platform

MIT's block programming platform Scratch, will be used for its ease of snapping blocks of code together instead of memorizing programming lines. This will allow your child to create complex video games, intricate artwork and even control a robot.

Class Setup

Each class will introduce new computing concepts. Students will work through lecture coding exercises and start working on their project before the end of the class and will present their work at the beginning of the following class.

Location

The class will be at McKernan Baptist Church (11103 76 Ave NW)
