12:30 pm - Doors open for registration/check-in

1:00 pm - Session starts

*light refreshments will be available.


Front-line service providers who work with newcomer, immigrant and refugee men will gain knowledge to help their clients understand the laws around purchasing sex in Canada, and the consequences for themselves, their families and the community.

The training will include:

- Information on Canadian laws about purchasing sex

- Understanding sexual exploitation and human trafficking.

- Listening to those with lived experience

This session will inform front-line service providers about the Sex Trade Offender program, an alternative measure program for men charged with attempting to buy sex in Canada, which is illegal. Completion of the program means no criminal record.


This event is provided by in partnership with The Centre to End All Sexual Exploitation.

Certificates will be provided for those who complete the session.

Notice to Registered Social Workers: REACH workshops are eligible for Category A credits with the Alberta College of Social Workers if they align with your personal learning goals for the year and you submit a Category A Summary Form in your personal portfolio.
