Description

Shakespeare's Sonnets: Transforming the Voices of Montréal

In Collaboration with the McGill University Department of English's Early Modern Conversion's Project-LIMITED 1-week run at McGill University Moyse Hall

Actors under the ‘trance’ of the mask explore contemporary characters and situations that render the obscure Elizabethan language and word-play understandable to a 21st Century audience. Infinitheatre’s Artistic Director Guy Sprung, working with Mask Master Brian Smith, bring a handful of Montréal’s best actors to your school with masked characters and voices of Montréal to give the poems a power of immediacy and a language sounding as contemporary as if spoken on the streets and subways of Montréal today.
