Dr. Michael Hryniuk
Dr. Hryniuk is a theologian, educator, psychotherapist, and consultant working in the area of ministry development and spiritual formation.
For the past 20 years, Michael has integrated his clinical insights into the ministry of discernment in providing spiritual direction. Dr. Hryniuk currently serves as Supervisor of Spiritual Care at the Catholic Children's A id Society of Hamilton and is in group practice as a psychotherapist with the Institute of Family Living in Toronto, Ontario.
As a Director of Theosis Resources, an independent consulting ministry, Michael has led workshops and retreats at churches, schools, universities and seminaries throughout Canada and the United States. He is also adjunct professor at Tyndale University in the Department of Psychology and has taught courses in the integration of theology, personality theory and spirituality for the past fifteen years. We believe that Healing our Identity in God as it relates to Shame, Grace and the Ministry of Spiritual Direction is a topic that touches each of our ministries. We will also be discussing the importance of addressing our own feelings of shame as a precursor to providing care to others burdened with feelings of shame and guilt.

Our day will end with some insights regarding the future of the TASD and an outline of some of the projects on which the TASD Executive have been working on your behalf.
