Volunteering on Projects Abroad’s Shark Conservation project in Fiji would be an opportunity of a lifetime! To be able to work on pioneering shark protection projects alongside respected scientists and shark research experts would be a wicked opportunity and one that i have had my eye on for quite some time.
This project needs volunteers like myself who have a passion for marine wildlife and the great outdoors. The Fiji Shark Conservation Project would give me the opportunity to get up close to some of the most endangered and misunderstood animals in the world.
Working directly with the Fiji Shark Conservation Project, conducting the work of internationally renowned shark research scientists, I will be directly involved in scientific shark research work. I will also work within the local community on mangrove reforestation, recycling, and shark education initiatives. The individuals who volunteer and the conservation work are supervised by the resident marine biologist and local staff. The project is based in Pacific Harbour, on the south coast of Fiji’s main island of Viti Levu, just three hours from Nadi. I have been wanting to venture out into the world for a very long time now and thankfully having finally finished school and being blessed with the choice of what I want to do with my life moving forward, I have chosen to help others. Animals matter just as much as people, we really do not pay nearly enough attention but did you know... our whole ecosystem could collapse by just one species simply going extinct completely, and once our oceans go down... that is only the beginning. So with my whole heart I thank you all for supporting me as I begin my journey out into this crazy world with very good intentions. after all, when I look at the world and se all of the chaos and havvoc we humans have created, it only makes sense to me to put some love and peace back into it. Please help me do that <3
