ShoeCamp - A Bootcamp for EveryBODY
Event Information
Description
ShoeCamp's are fun, safe, moderate and inclusive workouts designed to promote physical activity and movement.
Bootcamps can be fun - but they can also be intimidating - with many of the exercise ‘modifications’ still being very difficult. We believe movement is an amazing thing and want to have fun with absolutely everybody of every size, shape and ability who wants to participate.
Join us at McMahon Stadium, home of the Calgary Stampeders, for a 40 minute workout where you will stretch, move, dance and play your way to better health under the expert guidance of an exercise physiologist and sports chiropractor.
----
Class lead by: Geoff Starling CSCS, Exercise Physiologist, Every Body STRONGER
Assisted by: Dr. Shereen Kangarloo DC, Sports Chiropractor, Complete Chiropractic & Sports Therapy
Cheering and motivation: Paul McIntyre Royston, The Fat Project & Angela Knight, CBC Eyeopener
----
Proudly supported by: CBC Calgary, The Fat Project, Every Body STRONGER and Complete Chiropractic & Sports Therapy, the McMahon Stadium Society, Obesity Canada - Calgary and Calgary Weight Management Centre
-----
Donations: we will be collecting non-perishable goods for the Calgary Food Bank and cash donations for Obesity Canada to fund obesity research and awareness.
ShoeCamp's are deliberately non-traditional fitness classes. All we promise is that you will move your body and we will try our hardest to make sure you have a good time doing so. (Moving should be Fun, Right?!). All ShoeCamps are #BurpeeFreeZones : )
