Description

Come visit Blossom at Metropolis at Metrotown from March 5-31, 2019!

With community partnership with the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre* (link: http://centre.nikkeiplace.org/), Metropolis will be hosting a variety of Japanese workshops/events Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Grand Court.

On Tuesday, March 26, register and learn how to play SHOGI (Japanese Chess). Shogi is a two-player strategy board game with the objective to checkmate the opponent’s king, and players get to play the opponent’s piece they captured. Two Canada Shogi Club members from Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre will be demonstrating and teaching shogi for this event from 6:30PM to 8:00PM. This lesson is open to participants ages 8 and older. No prior experience necessary!
