Join us Wednesday, May 25th for a conversation and learning experience about women's health led by Dr. Mandy Swinden. The evening will feature the opportunity to sip, snack and shop Poppy Barley products with 10% of the proceeds donated to our partner, No Period Without. May 28th is World Menstrual Day, and all month long Poppy Barley locations will act as a drop-off point for their period product drive.

What You Need to Know:

• Attendees will receive a free gift bag (valued at over $100) with items from Poppy Barley, Nixit, and Rocky Mountain Soap Co
• 10% of the proceeds from purchases during the event will be donated to No Period Without
• The event will have a $15 ticket fee that you will receive back as a $15 shop credit to use that evening
• We will be collecting menstrual supplies donations for No Period Without during the month of May. Please bring supplies (tampons, pads, cups) if you'd like to donate!
• Snacks and refreshments will be served!

About the Speaker

An Ontario native, Dr. Mandy Swinden received her Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree with honours from the University of Windsor, before going on to complete her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. Mandy currently works as a doctor at YYC's ProActive Health Group.

Mandy has a diverse athletic background, which includes Division 1 rugby and CIS basketball. She is very passionate about sports medicine, and loves helping her patients achieve their athletic goals. Dr. Swinden is also a Level 2 CrossFit coach and enjoys playing various team sports, running, weightlifting, and being outside as much as possible.

No Period Without is a nonprofit in whose mission is to end period poverty for all menstruators. In operation since 2017 No Period without has provided more than 250,000 menstrual products to vulnerable people by way of donations from generous individuals.
