Description

Join us for the latest installment of the Sidewalk Toronto Public Talks series.

What’s the future of sustainable buildings?

The growth of urban cores in eco-conscious cities like Toronto has led to some exciting innovations in sustainable building design. Whether it’s wooden high-rises that sequester carbon, passive designs to reduce energy use, or any number of digital tools that make buildings more energy-efficient, buildings are playing a critical role in protecting the planet. This talk will spotlight several trends in sustainable buildings demonstrating that meeting climate and energy goals doesn’t have to come at the cost of great urban design.

In our fourth public talk, author and community organizer Jane Farrow will moderate a conversation with three sustainable building experts who are challenging cities to incorporate principles for sustainable building design.
