What's the mystery?
More like 'who' is the mystery!
Artists names will not be displayed by the pieces they have contributed. You will discover who created the piece *after* you buy it.
We hope to create a level playing field where art is valued based on what the piece makes you feel; we want to remove this from the prestige or novice of the artists themselves, appreciating art for the sake of art.
We want to bring together Guelph's visually artistic community with our musically artistic community, united in Silence's belief in inclusivity, diversity and creativity.
In addition to live music and the art auction, all attendees are entered into a door prize (TBA).
Wine and Beer will be offered in addition to tea, coffee and kombucha.
Small nibbles will be provided.
Music by Gary Diggins, Sam Boer Music, Banjo Mechanics, Daniel Fischlin,Tragedy Ann, Colin Couch, Joni NehRita Music, Alan Armstrong and more!
What does the money go towards?
The artwork pricetag is split between artist and Silence, and the door profit is split between musicians and Silence. By attending the event and purchasing a piece you support artists both directly and through what Silence does -- offering an affordable, accessible space and creating opportunities for these and other artists.
The money Silence recieves will go straight back into our diverse programming's curation, planning and marketing in 2017.
Huge thank-you goes to Ron Shuebrook for helping to plan this event.
All art will be priced equally.
Admission is $25/PWYC.
This is a licensed/all-ages event.
