Online event

A casual writing circle where you can write, connect, and create for good causes.

About this event

Is writing how you know what you think? If you, like me, process the world by making story and crafting poems, it's important that you do it: for your own well-being and to fulfill your call to create.

So, set down the juggling balls of your life and join me for a couple of hours each month. I offer interesting prompts, focused time, and casual creative camaraderie.

No experience is necessary; all you need is a desire to write plus a pen and notebook (or your laptop but I do encourage writing by hand as computers tend to embolden the inner critic), and a willingness to write with others in a space free of competition and comparison.

I ask for a donation ($20 minimum per session is suggested but be honest and PWYC). I’ll be passing on half to a different charity each month (so far Voices for Children, the Indian Residential Schools Survivors Society, and Funds for Furry Friends).

Please note: the ZOOM link will be sent to you prior to the event. If you have not received it by the morning of the event, email lauren@laurencarter.ca with ZOOM Link Needed as the subject line.

And, if you have any other questions about this or other events, please reach out.
