Singin' in the Rain Jr. Friday
Event Information
Description
This year, the Junior and Intermediate students of Glenburnie School are pleased to present Singin' In The Rain JR. Set in the 1920s, the plot centers around the transition of motion pictures from silent films to talkies. With the advent of the popular movie, “The Jazz Singer,” movie studios knew that their futures relied on being able to capitalize on this exciting new format. In “Singin’ in the Rain,” the fictitious studio of Monumental Pictures decides to take its latest silent film, “The Dueling Cavalier,” and transform it into a talkie, complete with singing and dancing.
