Spend 1.5 hours with Mehran Modarres Sadeghi, the SCAC’s current exhibiting artist. Through an intimate, hands-on workshop delivered online, learn techniques and approaches she has taken in her currently quarantined exhibition at the Sechelt Art Centre. The workshops will follow her distinct approaches to drawing and are a chance for you to experiment with expansive ways to consider the practice of drawing.

Skills for Solitude is a series of online workshops combining ideas, hands-on experimenting and a chance to share what you made. These workshops are open to any skill level and are meant to be a fun and creative way to keep connected during Covid-19.

You need to have access to a computer with video and sound, and a stable internet connection. Zoom also works with a smartphone or tablet. We encourage you to sign up early so that you can test out the link to make sure it works well for you.

For materials you will need to have blank drawing paper of any kind, and a couple of drawing pencils and pens. Preferrable 2B-6B for pencils. And an erasure.
