Event description

Description

Enjoy a true “farm-to-table” experience at our Dinner Series. This dinner will highlight the amazing cooking of Canadian Chefs using items sourced from local farmers. Diners will enjoy a four-course dinner.

We aim to highlight what Slow Food is all about – Good, Clean, Fair. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy an expertly crafted dinner and partake in a conversation about Good, Clean, and Fair from the people who make the magic happen.

We feature area chefs and restaurants in an effort to expose Toronto community to the amazing things that are happening between chef and farmer:

CHEF STEFANO AGOSTINI - Chef Stefano comes from Veneto and from a family fishing tradition: Pescheria Agostini (a Fish Store) in Vicenza. Today, Chef Stefano owns Pane e Vino Restaurant in Mississauga and He is focused in choosing local, seasonal and sustainable products to cook and serve his dishes at his place. Chef Stefano is also responsible of the "Slow Fish" project in Toronto.

PASTRY GIOVANNI STILLITANO - Pastry Chef Giovanni is a young man passionate about sweets with particular attention to veganism and celiac disease. Its specialty is to research and transform normal recipes into vegan and gluten-free desserts using organic and above all local raw materials. He works as freelance and private chef. Giovanni leads the group of volunteers with Slow Food Toronto.
