Event description
Does the idea of doing your taxes seem like an impossible task? Join us on October 18th to learn what you need to prepare for tax season!

About this Event

Bookkeeping is important for helping you maintain accurate financial records. Yet still, many businesses fail to implement this integral process. Besides the fact you are required under law to maintain accurate books and records, doing so will save you frustration later on.

Bookkeeping knowledge helps you to budget your daily life and business efficiently, extremely helpful for your annual tax return preparation, developing your organizing, analyzing and decision making skills.

Key outcomes:

  • understand and explain the relationship between the accounting equation and double-entry bookkeeping
  • record transactions in the appropriate ledger accounts using the double-entry bookkeeping system
  • balance off ledger accounts at the end of an accounting period
  • prepare a trial balance, balance sheet and a profit and loss account.

This workshop is exclusively for Self-Employment Training (SET) for Young Entrepreneur program clients.

If you are an eligible (Click HERE to check eligibility) young adult under 25 years and like to join the program, please complete online intake registration form and email to BizSupport@success.bc.ca
