Small Business Workshop - Hunting and Gathering

Welcome to Caddick & Co’s Hunt and Gather Workshop. You have chosen to attend our workshop so that you can get your business organized and have some fun at the same time, and we couldn’t be more excited for you. In order for you to do this, you will need to bring along any or all of the following items which pertain to your business. No need to organize it before you come just put it all in a folder/bag/box, whichever works best for you. By the time you leave our workshop you won’t even recognize your own files, they will be so organized.
o Bank statements (Personal or Corporate) whichever you are using for your business
o Credit Card Statements (Personal or Corporate) whichever you are using to purchase business expenses
o All receipts for any business purchases:
o You may find these in your files, desk, email, purse, wallet, kitchen drawers, bed side tables, pockets of clothes, inside your vehicle (glove box, or side door) etc…
o It doesn’t matter if these business expenses were paid via cheque, credit card, debit, or cash, bring them all.
o All bills that pertain to your business.
o All cheque stubs for cheques written out of your bank account.
o If you use a line of credit for your business, please provide the monthly statements
o All invoices that have been charged to customers/clients of your business.
o All deposit slips
o All confirmation printouts for any e transfers made within the business.
o Merchant Reports: ie. Paypal, Stripe or Square Reports
o POS (Point of Sale) daily/weekly/monthly POS slips / Reports
o POS / Statements showing sales/charges and fees
Mileage Log – we know you have one….;)
o If you have any loans or leases for the business, please provide documentation
o WCB (Worksafe BC) communications
o PST (Minister of Finance) communications
o CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) communications
o Corporate (Federal & Provincial)
o Home Office: bring all bills & or statements pertaining to your home office.
o Eg: Gas / Electricity/ Water/ Internet / Telephone
o Mortgage Statement / Mortgage Interest
o Property Taxes
o Strata Fees
o Square footage of total home and square footage of the area of home used for business
