How can you create a wonderful garden in a small space? Whether you’re gardening on an apartment balcony or in a community garden plot, this workshop will help you plan for soil and plant health, introduce you to plants that work particularly well in tiny spaces, and determine how you can get the most out of your garden by employing space-saving strategies.
The gardening bug did not bite during Susan Wallace's teenage years when she HAD to garden. It happened many years later after getting a garden plot at Lillooet Park Community Garden and even then, the challenges almost made her give it up. Still, she persevered and the bug finally got her. She now tends to not only her own plot but that of the Edible Garden Project’s Sharing Garden where food is grown to be donated to the Harvest Project. Although growing food is her priority, she also enjoys volunteering at Park & Tilford Garden as a FOG (Friends of the Garden).
