Learn how to grow big on a smaller scale

About this event

Are you a gardener or aspiring-gardener living in the city with limited space but big dreams? In this workshop, learn how to grow big on a smaller scale. With tips such as space-saving solutions and growing best practices, you’ll come out of this workshop well equipped to prepare, plant, and maintain your very own urban garden.

Rav is a farmer and runs her own food and climate justice organization called Shade of Miti in Mississauga. She is working to support sustainable food systems in the city that are not threatened by climate change and are rooted in sovereignty and justice. As a new and young farmer, Rav hopes to inspire youth, BIPOC, 2SLGBTQ+ and newcomers in engaging in their local food systems. She runs a farm in Caledon where she specializes in growing organic okra, bitter melon, malabar spinach, swiss chard, hot peppers, callaloo and more!
