SMART Board Workshop: March 26, 2017

Smart Notebook software combined with the interactive SmartBoard are effective and useful tools that help teachers develop engaging and meaningful lessons. The purpose of this hands-on workshop is to develop an understanding of how to develop Smart Notebook lessons that would be relevant for your teaching assignments.
You will be shown how to integrate video, images, and other file attachments to create worthwhile lessons for your teaching assignment. The workshop is led by an experienced teacher whose school has integrated SmartBoard technology in each of their classrooms. You will be issued a signed certificate of attendance that can be used in your portfolio.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Registration will close 2 days before the workshop (providing space is still available). However, if you register less than 7 days before the workshop you will be ineligible for a refund if you cannot attend.
Will certificates be issued?
You will be emailed a certificate of attendance upon completing the workshop. Your name will appear on your certificate exactly how it appears on your registration. This includes capitalization, hyphens, etc.
What is the refund policy?
Full refunds will be given up to 7 days prior to the workshop date. If for whatever reason you need to withdraw after that date, refunds will not be provided.
What do I need to bring?
A laptop with SMART Notebook Collaborative Learning installed. Software installation questions will not be answered during the workshop.
You only need to download the SMART Notebook Collaborative Learning software.

Please read the system requirements before you install as older systems may not be capable of running the latest version. If this is the case, please download an older version that is compatible with your machine. An activation key and other resources are available on Sharepoint. Please direct any installation questions to email@example.com.
If you do not have a laptop, you can borrow one from the Education Resource Centre. The laptop must be picked up by 4pm the Friday before the workshop. The standard borrowing term is one week. You will need a credit card to borrow any equipment.
- If there are less than 15 participants, the workshop will be cancelled and you will receive a refund. We will notify you 2 days before the event.
- If the workshop must be cancelled at the last minute, we will make every effort to contact you at your @edu.yorku.ca email address and you will receive a full refund.
