Protecting Alberta's Parks?
Over the last 30 years Canada has committed to meeting increasingly ambitious international goals for protected areas, a key tool in the conservation of biodiversity. Provincial parks and protected areas are an important component that will determine how well Canada performs in the future.
Alberta’s parks system is decades old and encompasses areas from large wildlands to roadside campgrounds. This talk will examine the history and makeup of Alberta’s parks and consider how well the system is suited to our emerging biodiversity challenges.
This workshop will conclude with a Q and A session for registered participants
Instructions on how to access the virtual event will be available on Eventbrite following registration and emailed to registrants one day prior to the event.
