Social Business Creation - REGISTER AS A COMPETING TEAM
Organized by HEC Montréal and Yunus Centre au Bangladesh founded by Nobel laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus, Social Business Creation competition is an innovative pedagogical platform on which your students learn to create social businesses.
All activities of Edition 2017 (see http://socialbusinesscreation.hec.ca/competition/timeline/ for the list of activities) will be provided free of charge to admitted participants:
- Follow HEC Montréal’s online course comprising 4 modules specifically designed for this competition at https://cours.edulib.org;
- Follow 1-week training at HEC Montréal;
- Showcase their projects on www.socialbusinesscreation.hec.ca;
- Use social business creation competition’s online platform and templates for their activities within the framework of this competition;
- Receive HEC Montréal’s participation certificates if they complete at least the first 2 rounds of the competition.
Application process:
Submit application package to http://socialbusinesscreation.hec.ca/get-involved/register-as-a-competing-team/ that includes
- A form which lists team members (there is no required minimum or maximum number of members; however at least one member must be have university student status at the time of application)
- A 1-page proposal that describes the applicant team’s business idea to solve one or several social issues
- Proof of student status of the student members (their current transcript or university’s attestation letter)
- Photo of team members (may be taken individually or in group)
- CAD100 non-refundable application fee for each member regardless of student status.
Receive application results within 10 working days upon complete submission.
Admission criteria:
- Clear description of the social issue to be addressed
- Business potential of the proposed solution.
Application fee is 100$/person.
