YES offers a 3-part workshop series, attended either consecutively or individually, which explores the next generation of business known as Social Entrepreneurship; a business concept that provides innovative solutions to address social issues and growing environmental concerns. The workshops will focus on understanding the fundamentals of social entrepreneurship exploring financing options and highlighting successful initiatives. These sessions will enable you to connect with like-minded people, explore your ideas and receive practical take-homes from successful social entrepreneurs.
Part 1: Understanding Social Entrepreneurship

Social Entrepreneurship is the process of pursuing innovative solutions to social problems, but on a practical level, how does it differ from regular entrepreneurship? The first part of our social entrepreneurship series will outline exactly what social entrepreneurship is, the various legal structures it takes and the implications of each. You will also get advice from a successful social entrepreneur regarding what it can look like in practise as well as the importance of social innovation, disruption and impact.

Workshop payments of $20 or less are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Please note for all evening workshops beginning at 6:30PM: Doors open at 6:00PM and the workshop begins at 6:30PM sharp. Due to the nature of the event and to minimize disruption, the center closes its doors at 7:00PM. Latecomers who arrive after this time may not be admitted.
