Event description

Description

Thank you for expressing interest in the Ontario Association of Social Worker's Niagara Branch’s Social Work Week event. On Thursday March 8, 2018 we will be hosting a panel discussion on human trafficking. Our intention is to raise awareness of issues related to human trafficking and the services that exist to address them, specifically within the Niagara Region.

Attendees of the event will be primarily compromised of Social Workers and other heath-related professionals however, we are also welcoming other community members in the hopes of creating collaboration around such an important topic.

We would be honoured if 4 members of the coalition could speak on the panel, representing your position and the role you play in supporting those affected by human trafficking and the initiatives that exist to combat it. Each of the 4 panelists will have approximately 15 minutes to speak and a question and answer period moderated by an OASW Board member will follow. Additionally, all members of the coalition are invited to attend without cost and will be invited to answer questions during the meet and greet and question period.
