Description

Are you looking to maximize Your value in a commercial transaction? Join us on May 3rd for an interactive discussion!

The CITT Toronto Area Council is excited to invite you to a Soft Skills Speakers Event. Join us for an intriguing interactive session and explore this excellent opportunity to brush up your negotiations and networking skills.

In today’s supply chain reality the negotiation abilities are among the most crucial ‘soft skills’ – whether you’re in a position to be buying, selling, consulting or in the case of many 3PLs, buying and selling supply chain logistics and transportation services.

Here is the Negotiation Abilities Summary presented by Warran Safinchan, CCLP we are looking forward to:

  • The difference between ‘selling’ and ‘negotiation’
  • Ethics in negotiation
  • Negotiation capabilities of buyers and sellers in industry today
  • Behaviors of competent negotiators
  • Importance of planning in a negotiation
  • Sneak peak into a handful of tactics that can be used against you

Learn how to negotiate effectively in the safety of a learning environment — not in a ‘trial-by-fire’ crash course sitting across the table from a highly skilled negotiator.”

The Networking Skills portion of the evening will be given by Pina Melchionna, President and CEO of CITT. Networking continuously is a key component to a successful career often missed by many. Establishing strong ties to a broad community will greatly expand your ability to give and receive a wealth of information and assistance. Networking involves building and maintaining contacts and relationships with other people. To build your pipeline and reach potential buyers or those who can advance your carreer you wouldn't normally get access to, it's essential to always be expanding your network. Pina will give us fresh ideas on networking beyond the elevator speech and useful networking tips on social media.

Our Speakers:

Pina Melchionna, BA, PFP, LLB, MBA, TEP, ICD.D joined CITT as president & CEO in September 2017.
