About this event
Join SolShare Energy and Tantalus Vineyards in showcasing their joint solar installation project. We acknowledge that this project is on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Syilx/Okanagan People.
In mid-April 2022, SolShare began installing 50kW system made up of 108 bifacial solar panels (that produce energy from both sides) on the winery's main building, which will assist the vineyard in offsetting 70 to 100% of Tantalus' electrical consumption during peak times, and generate over 60,000kWh power per year; enough to power six households.
The open house is also an opportunity to learn more about SolShare's equity and community-owned investment model, and how you can participate in sharing the sun in Kelowna's wine country from May 9 to 18, 2022 (investment period).
This is a free event. Light snacks and a complimentary glass of wine will be served. (COVID-19 health protocols will be followed.)
We welcome solar enthusiasts, wine lovers, renewable energy fans, potential investors, curious minds, local residents and neighbours, Indigenous nations and all communities to see our solar project and meet our teams. We look forward to connecting with you all in May!
Best,
Rob Baxter, CEO, SolShare
David Paterson, GM and winemaker, Tantalus
Can't join us in Kelowna? We'll be hosting an informal Zoom meet the team/investment Q+A on May 9 from 630-715PM. A great opportunity to learn more about the Tantalus project and how to invest in community-owned solar.
