About this Event

Solar Alberta Presents Its Fourth Annual Solar Show! 

This four-day, online event is dedicated to advancing the awareness and understanding of energy efficiency, renewable energy technologies, alternative forms of transportation, and Alberta’s role in the energy transition; through exhibitor booths, mainstage presentations and workshops. The Solar Show works with community partners, skilled instructors, speakers, and businesses to provide leading edge education for Albertans.

This year we are offering free programming for the general public (‘General Admission’), with paid programming options. When you register for free 'General Admission', you will be able to come and go from all free programming during the event. Paid sessions can be added to your admission if you would like more in-depth learning on solar industry matters.

Meet Our Keynote Presenters: 

Chris Nelder - This host of the Energy Transition Show Podcast also leads the EV-Grid Integration initiative, supporting the build-out of EV charging infrastructure and has published 2 books and several articles. 

George Kourounis - This Canadian adventurer and storm chaser specializes in documenting extreme weather and worldwide natural disasters. He has seen it all; travelling to 7 continents and 75 countries he has documented all of his experiences for the television series Angry Planet

Dr. Sara Hastings-Simon - This macro energy system researcher is an expert in energy, innovation, and climate policy. Her research is focused on understanding how energy and industrial transitions happen within different sectors of the economy, and how policy responses can improve outcomes. Sarah is a Senior Researcher at the Payne Institute for Public Policy at the Colorado School of Mines and a Research Fellow at the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary.

Paid Workshops for In-Depth Industry Learning

Paid sessions can be added to your 'General Admission' if you would like more in-depth learning on solar industry matters. Thursday (March 4th) sessions are geared towards energy efficiency enthusiasts and builders, and Friday (March 5th) sessions are geared towards solar and electrical professionals. Single session pricing is available. Discounts are available on bulk purchases (2 or more sessions) and to Solar Alberta Members.

Refund Policy:

You may cancel your registration at any time but please be aware of the refund policy listed below.

If you cancel on, or before, February 17, 2021, you will be refunded your registration fee less a $5.00 processing fee. Cancellations after February 17, 2021 will not receive a refund.

All refund requests must be sent in writing to hello@solaralberta.ca.

Photo and Video Release:

The Event will be recorded. When logging into the event, you consent to being part of a recorded virtual live stream and you acknowledge and agree that Solar Alberta may use and publish this, as recorded or recreated by any medium, in informational, promotional, advertising and/or other material. Decisions regarding use and publication of the recording shall be entirely at the discretion of Solar Alberta.

By virtue of your attendance at the Event, you hereby irrevocably release Solar Alberta from any and all claims that may arise related to the recording. All rights in and ownership to any recording or recreation shall remain with Solar Alberta and you understand and agree that you will not receive any monetary compensation for the recording, use and/or publication.

Code of Conduct:

Solar Alberta is dedicated to providing an inclusive and harassment-free virtual event experience for all event attendees. Solar Alberta will not tolerate harassing or disruptive behavior from event participants, in any form. Event participants violating these terms may be removed from the Event without a refund at the sole discretion of Solar Alberta.
