While our world leaders meet at the UN Climate Summit in Paris, the City of Kingston wants you to think globally and act locally when it comes to climate action. To do that, the City welcomes Peter Ladner to share his insights from his recent book the Urban Food Revolution: Changing The Way we Feed Cities.

Peter is a well-known public speaker and writes a bi-weekly column for Business in Vancouver news. He is a former member of the Vancouver Food Policy Council and a former Fellow at the Simon Fraser University Centre for Dialogue, where he taught, did research and organized public events around the theme Planning Cities as if Food Matters.

He was a Vancouver city councilor from 2002-2008, vice chair of the Metro Vancouver Board and ran for mayor in 2008. He has been the publisher, president and part owner of the Business in Vancouver Media Group, which he co-founded in 1989. He is chair of the board of The Natural Step Canada, and vice-chair of the board of the David Suzuki Foundation.
