Creative workshop for all levels!
About this event
Legible Intelligibles is excited to announce the winter writing workshop! It will be online on Monday, December 6, for two hours, from 6 p.m.–8p.m. EST.
This workshop is for writers of all levels!
This is a non-exclusionary workshop, fit for everyone from published writers to self-considered "non" writers, journal-ers, folks who can put words on a page. There isn't an expectation of understanding technique, or a background of material you have to be familiar with. These workshops are for everyone who is full of ideas and thoughts and is in need of a push, a deadline, a prompt, an environment.
~*
There will be timed segments where you will be provided with a prompt (audio, visual, tactile, kinetic), invited to write on the prompt, and then share aloud (participation is encouraged, though optional, of course).
Required materials: something to write with (e.g. computer, pen and paper, etc.), a device with camera&headphones.
The workshop will be hosted on zoom. On the day of the event, we will send out the zoom link and password to everyone who has registered through EventBrite.
There is no participation fee and a capacity of 20 attendees per workshop.
We have given you the option to pay what you want. All donations will be sent to the Wet’suwet’en Land Defenders Legal Fund: https://go.rallyup.com/wetsuwetenstrong/Campaign/Details
This event is hosted by local community organizer, Vannessa Barnier. Vannessa is a poet, collaborator, facilitator, instigator, mostly consistent and burning at both ends. Vannessa facilitates writing workshops, hosts the open mic series, Legible Intelligibles, and is the author of SAMPLE PLATTER, a debut chapbook published this year by Gap Riot Press.
