This event will take place on the unceeded, traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) peoples. Although this event is open to the public, this will be a space for sex workers, allies, and people working towards allyship with the sex worker community. Although we will not refuse entrance of anyone, please be mindful that this will not be the place for anti-sex work or abolitionist conversations, and will be a space to highlight the voices and experiences of sex workers and their allies. The event is wheelchair accessible and asks you to be mindful of using scents. If you have any accessibility needs for this event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The AMS Sexual Assault Support Centre (SASC) recognizes that there is a growing population of student sex workers attending UBC and that there are limited resources specific to their needs. The SASC supports student sex workers and believes that all students have the right to be safe in all areas of their life, including their place of work, which can often be a unique and isolating experience for sex workers.
Please join us for a panel discussion on the intersections of student and sex worker identities, as well as their relationship to support services.
panel will be moderated by Kerry Porth
