Event description

This new support group is aimed at survivors of abuse, rape and violence of a sexual nature, including incest, inappropriate touch and groping without consent and sexual harassment during one’s childhood, youth or adulthood.

The mission is to offer a healthy and safe environment where no judgment or comparison is made for those who suffer in silence, who feel they have no power and no hope in dealing with their abuse(s). Today, they wish to take the necessary steps towards healing and internal liberation in order to regain their balance, their power, their self-respect and self-love.

Do you find yourself frozen with terror, fear, shame and guilt in the face of your abuse(s) and your abuser(s)?

Have you become numb, fearful, and angry, always on guard, ready to do whatever it takes to protect yourself and survive?

Are you caught in a vicious circle in which you hate and punish yourself and are repulsed by your own body, while at other times, you are able to love yourself and function in a daily routine, but you relapse repeatedly?

Have you seen yourself hiding from the world, your family and your friends, refusing invitations and avoiding certain situations because you feel inferior and misunderstood?

Believe me. I understand. We believe you!

Are you on a waiting list to receive health services, therapy sessions or supportive care and attention from regional support centres and non-profit organizations for your abuse(s)?

The purpose of Solidary Group: We believe you! is to offer a journey on a path that will lead to awareness and comprehension of the various aspects of abuse affecting everyday life through interactive sessions. This is done in strict confidentiality and respect in view of the participants’ limitations regarding their abuse(s). All participants will have to adhere to a code of ethics and confidentiality beforehand in order to create a secure space for all. Participants can take part fully or simply listen and collect keys of transformation. Listed below are some of the suggested themes:

- States of mind
- Messages/Words
- Family/Childhood
- Emotions
- Behaviour patterns/Choices

- Relationships

- Vicious circle

- Clear boundaries
- Path to self-love, healing and internal liberation
