The Live from the Rock Folk Festival is proud to present an afternoon songwriting workshop with renowned blues and jazz artist Sunday Wilde. Due to the global pandemic, the 2020 Live from the Rock Folk Festival was unfortunately cancelled, along with the much-loved annual songwriting workshop that takes place each year for festival attendees. This year, Live from the Rock is taking things online and is excited to offer a unique experience through a Zoom songwriting workshop.

Sunday is a powerful and intense vocalist, a rare voice that speaks from the primal soul. She is a songwriter who explores grief, addiction, love and family and social dynamics. Her lyrics and delivery make it abundantly clear that she speaks from experience and authority and she is excited to share her experience in a fun and engaging workshop format.

Sunday will be working with workshop participants to explore the theme of connection and what it means to each of them, particularly in the context of the world today. Participants will hear about Sunday's own songwriting process and go over the basics of theme, tone, lyrics and conveying emotion through song.

The workshop is open to music lovers of all ages and levels of experience, from those who have never written a song to seasoned musicians, with the end goal of creating an original song together.
