About this event
Join Jody Williams, a 20-year mindfulness practitioner, Yoga teacher, and Buddhist Meditation Guide for this in-depth mindfulness workshop. Learn ancient mind training techniques for modern times, incorporating the latest evidence based self compassion and positive neuro plasticity practices to learn to regulate and soothe your Nervous System.
This retreat is great for Mindfulness and Yoga teachers to go deep into their own practice and learn some current information/practices to incorporate into your classes
Beginners are welcome and it would also benefit those living with a lot of stress and/or anxiety
The Retreat will have 3 components:
Mindfulness – we will practice mindful movement, sitting, walking, and eating and an open awareness practice in nature. We will also address common obstacles that may arise in our meditation practice and how the antidotes to them, such as boredom, restlessness, emotions
Self compassion vs Self Care – learn the latest science on cultivating self compassion while experientially practicing techniques to help you feel at peace, content and connected.
Anchoring – you will learn techniques and do some inquiry practices to learn how to ‘listen’ to your nervous system and practices to regulate and sooth oneself and others.
