Sound Bath with Tibetan Singing Bowls - November 20, 21, 22
Event Information
About this Event
Join us for a 60-minute group Tibetan Singing Bowls session at the beautiful and brand-new Coloured Soul Yoga & Wellness studio in the Kingsway area (Royal York and Bloor in Toronto.)
What does a Sound Bath look like?
This Sound Bath will take place in a large, candlelit yoga room at Coloured Soul Yoga and Wellness. Participants lie on the floor in a socially-distanced circle. Please bring your yoga mat, a cosy blanket, and a pillow for comfort, and dress in warm and comfortable clothing. Dr Jose and Melissa will provide an hour of deep, meditative sound therapy- and your only job is to relax!
Why do we use Tibetan Singing Bowls?
Tibetan Singing Bowls are traditionally known for their healing properties through sound waves.
Based on the knowledge of the 7 Chakras, the harmonization of body and mind is achieved through the soft and deep vibrations of the Tibetan Singing Bowls. Quickly, a state of deep relaxation is achieved which is equivalent to several hours of sleep.
The benefits permeate all dimensions of the being: on the physical plane (relief of various bodily ailments) and on the spiritual/emotional plane (stress, anxiety, insomnia), even helping to unblock deep emotional processes.
Why focus on the Heart Chakra?
In these trying times, a lot of us are looking for different ways to cope with stress, anxiety, anger and sadness. That's why we are offering this special session where we'll focus on the Heart Chakra. According to traditional Eastern philosophies, the heart is the abode of our spirit - it's where all the alchemy between the spiritual and material world happens. It's where we can really connect with our true higher selves.
Having a balanced Heart Chakra helps us to forgive, to let go of whatever heavy load we've been dragging around unnecessarily. It will bring a brightness back to our eyes, and a feeling of joy and blessing.
Who is hosting the Sound Bath?
This event is held by Health & Harmony, run by Dr. Jose Peralta, who is a Sound Therapist and Ayurvedic practitioner, and Melissa Morris, a Yoga teacher and musician. We look forward to seeing you!
