Spanish Food and Wine Pairing Workshop
We invite you to join our exclusive educational workshop with George Brown College instructor James Pollock. James will lead the workshop in a tasting and discovery of the impressive wines from Spain paired with tapas, cheese, and other uniquely Spanish ingredients.
The class will explore how the unique terroir of Spain contributes to renowned Spanish wines. Participants will be led through the art of pairing eight wines with iconic Spanish ingredients and dishes to create a truly magical tasting experience. After the class, there will be a selection of wines and cheeses from Spain available for tasting.
James Pollock
James has accrued over 30 years experience in the hospitality industry. In 2007 James received his Sommelier certification from the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers (CAPS). Over the years James furthered his education to include certificates from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET), Italian Trade Commission, and the Saké Education Council. In addition to James’ position as Wine Director at Sassafraz, James teaches a variety of courses in wine, beer, spirits, at service at George Brown College, Niagara College, and most recently at the Shanghai Institute of Tourism
