Our event will have Ghibli mascots displays for guests to take photos with, and many official Ghibli merchandise for you to purchase. We also have many construction toys, puzzles, blind boxes, and artist-designer toys in the store. As we are partners with a claw machine store, you will also have access to crane games and much more!

Register on our event webpage or on Eventbrite for a free ticket voucher to get raffle participation, and free claw game tokens , one ticket per registered name enters into raffle, if you want more raffle entries either grab early access, enter our cosplay contest, win them during the event or with exceeding certain order purchase amounts or sign up more friends and family to come , remember we check you in at the door for attendance

Register for a $5 early access ticket voucher to enter 2 hrs early, early merchandise purchase (some item qty may be limited, so you get early access); if you are entering our cosplay contest, you can come in to take photos early to avoid the crowd, get free Ghibli themed food, free drinks, raffle participation and free claw game tokens.

Raffle Event

• Attendees who signed up for vouchers will be entered into our launch raffle, one ticket per registered name enters into raffle, if you want more raffle entries either grab early access, enter our cosplay contest, win them during the event or with exceeding certain order purchase amounts or sign up more friends and family to come, remember we check you in at the door for attendance
• At around 5pm, 2 winners will be chosen randomly from the draw, you may review results on instagram later if you don’t catch it in store
• With every Sparetime Inc. merchandise purchase over 50 CAD in store that day, you can get more raffle entry tickets
• Neat prizes will be disclosed at the event

Studio Ghibli Cosplay Contest

• Attendees who signed up for vouchers will automatically have the chance to participate in our cosplay contest, if you arrive the day of to enter, you can sign up at our front desk
• Every contest participant will receive an extra raffle ticket entry
• Dress up as your favorite Studio Ghibli movie character and attend our store launch cosplay contest
• Take photos at our store and with our merchandise, upload on social media and tag us, the contestant with the most likes at the end of the day will win a special Totoro plush, Sparetime Inc. Gift Card ($50), and OHYO claw games membership card ($100)

Let’s roll a prize event

• Customers who purchase over 100 CAD of Sparetime merchandise (not Ghibli) can get the chance to roll a dice for some interesting prizes such as discounts
• The dice prize list will be disclosed at the event

Ghibli Trivia：

• Customers can enter into our Ghibli Trivia to answer questions,
• Questions include, Image to movie, Quotes, Plot quiz, etc
• Slide show of questions will be shown on TV screen
• Answer quickest to get points
• Highest Score winner will receive a prize

Ghibli Pictionary:

• Customers can attend our Ghibli Pictionary tournament
• A volunteer will come up to draw after picking from our keywords shuffle box
• Participants who guess the fastest will get a point, the corresponding drawing participant will also gain a point if people guess right
• At the end of the tournament, the person with the highest point count wins
• The prize will be disclosed at the event

• Early Opening 10 am (Private friends and family tour)
• Early access ticket holders enter at 11 am
• 1 pm official Opening Ceremony
• 2 pm Ghibli Trivia
• 3 pm Ghibli Pictionary
• 5 pm review cosplay contest winner, and raffle winner
