SPARK Hackathon is a completely student-run event that brings together the STEAM leaders of tomorrow.

About this Event

SPARK Hackathon is a completely student-run event that brings together the STEAM leaders of tomorrow. 200 hackers get 24 hours to invent and build a software or hardware project and then pitch it to a panel of qualified judges. SPARK gives youth the opportunity to showcase their skills in programming, robotics, communication and teamwork in a positive learning environment.

Our mission is to inspire high school students to explore and pursue innovative projects and careers in technology. With your help, we can give these future innovators the opportunity to receive first-hand experience and SPARK a passion for science, technology, engineering and mathematics

All Hackers will Receive:

  • Food!
  • Workshops, and Activities
  • SPARK Swag (tote bags, wrist bands, stickers, notebooks etc.)
  • An opportunity to win up to $1000 Prizes!
  • Hands-on experience into the world of STEM
  • Opportunity to network with over 40+ mentors, judges, and STEAM professionals.

Are you ready to Hack?

SPARK Hackathon, currently based in the GTA, will commence at 6:00 PM on December 13th, and end at 5:00 PM, on December 14th.

During this time, 40 teams of up to 5 hackers each, will get 24 hours to invent and build a software or hardware project. Which they will then be given a couple minutes to pitch it to a panel of judges, as well as their fellow peers. The winners take home prizes worth up to $1000!
