Smart watches. Smart homes. Smart clothing. Experience design plays an integral role in developing the interaction ecosystem, but it also but impacts the revenue model and potential. How does interface design play a role when many of these interfaces are a mix of visual, audio and gesture? Join us as we demonstrate a hands-on Design Thinking approach and deconstruct and redesign a creative solution to help benefit social good in the world of IoT.

Tara is a UX and digital strategy leader who is redefining seamless customer-centric success. She is fueled by data, driven by Design Thinking, inspired by innovation and guided by human-centric methodology for all online/offline touchpoints including retail, events, web, mobile, email, IoT, wearables and Connected Car. For over 16 years, Tara has been creating exceptional customer experiences and product success for leaders like AT&T, Gap Inc., IDEO, Ericsson and Google. Her mission is to deliver outstanding digital products, digital transformations and digital commerce conversion that not only provide the ‘wow’ effect for consumers but also surpass brand, engagement, productivity, loyalty and revenue goals. Tara has been featured in a number of publications and speaks at dozens of conferences a year. She has received awards that include Cannes Lions, pencils from The One Show, a collection of Cassie Golds, a Clio and dozens of CMA Awards. Her work has even been featured in People, on Mashable and on CNN. In 2017 Tara was ranked as one of the top Digital Planners in Canada by Strategy.
